lemme ask you a question, is cena bad or is cena STALE?

regardless of how you answered that question, lets look at the facts:

- he's still perceived as the top guy regardless of who he puts over.

- he still gets one of the biggest reactions every week, be it positive or negative.

- he usually has one of the best matches on every card, if not the best match.

- he's still a bonafide star and a household name.

so why are we looking for our top guy when we already have him?

it is time to get rid of all the things people hate about john cena. the bright colors, the corny jokes, the jean shorts... it is time for john cena to grow up. let this guy go out there and be the alpha ass kicker that we all know he is. the fans he already has will just keep cheering for him and the smarks that are tired of him might be given a rejuvenated interest. who knows maybe if you give cena more of an edge it will have a ripple effect altogether and increase the ratings.

every so often cena will break through and really get the crowd behind him, i've seen it. he does it with pure energy and charisma, and mind you this is the same crowd that was just chanting cena sucks during his entrance. deep down the people want to cheer this guy. he's a natural superstar.

i still think he has a lot of gas in the tank. he's still pretty far from being jordan on the wizards.:yeshrug:

They are looking for a Top Guy In Training just because Cena will need more time in the future to heal; his body will breakdown. At this point he doesn't need a title, but he will get one to match Flair keyfabe wise. He has plenty of years, but in the coming years he will take more time off to do TV side projects and think about Post-WWE Retirement when it happens.

i know they are looking for a top guy in training but in the meantime i still think it's really important to preserve cena, even though i know a lot of ppl in TSC don't agree.

a win over cena is meaning less and less these days. bryan has beat him, owens has beat him, del rio has beat him, aj has beat him... all clean. you got neville kicking out of the AA. i mean he's really been booked like a bum compared to years past.

until they find that guy, they have to treat the guy they have accordingly.

True, its a problem that WWE created on itself, by making Cena a Hulk Hogan-type but now having these legit wrestlers that Cena really wants to put over; because he loves to have 5* matches.

It would be completely incompetent for them not to looking to create new top guys. Cena himself looks to be transitioning himself to acting. I think he's done as a full timer now. Would be very stupid to still build everything around him.

Problem is this company just can''t create a star any more. Everyone comes out reciting bland promos word for word written by z-list tv writer geeks and they're micomanaged to the point of aburdity by a out of touch, senile old windbag.

Not even '98 Austin could make that shyt work.

I don't think he has anywhere near the best matches..he never did. One of the dumbest things about TSC is people acting like a non seller like him is a very good worker. He's sorry excuse for a worker that is insult to great matches and workers. Mysterio is a great worker...Eddie was a great worker. Cena kicks out alot, no sells a finish or two, and does a Super FU to end a long match. It's a joke. Calling this nygga "Very good" and then in the same breath nygga be bashing Banks like she's killing the industry. shyt is 100% backwards and crazy...that slick ALL LIVES MATTER type mindset. Some nygga was bashing Cesaro last week like he ain't on AJ Styles level. Str8 crackhead comments. Stupid moth3rfukk3rs who sound like those sideways f@gs from Wrestling Forum.

No..Cena isn't good. He's given long matches and does the 2016 Hogan kick out type shyt. That's it. Cena is a disgrace to modern day pro wrestling.

I mean one thing you gotta consider with him is, he's still a top guy and mainstream....but his prime reign was probably the weakest in terms of not really taking the business to a new audience and the profit that was made under his time was more of WWE being an established brand and a retained fanbase from previous eras which did in fact slowly dissapate.
I guess the WWE feels to that point they gotta try and move on because the flip side is, if he wins, it will still be a mixed reaction and not really turned the needle at this point. Of course Im sure they'll give him a couple of more reigns as an award for being the most loyal star but ultimately his legacy will be interesting for staying on top long but not moving the needle like Hulkamania Rock N Wrestling or the Attitude Era

They will never have another Cena. Might as well focus on creating as many stars possible because that Cena-level superstar is never walking through the door.

Stale. A lot of people turned on him because he lost the edge that made him pretty good (entertainment wise) before he got shot to the moon and became Dudley Do Right.

The crowd was tired of cena back when Eddie was still alive and he's done nothing to be any more interesting in the last 11 years. At this point we are just tired of him.
