rumors are he's leaving the Nike brand for Adidas' boutique Y-3 brand.

I wonder how this will fly. The price points are gonna be even higher and there aren't any classic Adidas designs he can model off.

Part of the Yeezy I/II ease into the market is they were basically mashups of interesting design elements (design leather, glow in the dark, high-top-strap) but on top of Jordan III/IV base elements as well as Air Tec Challenges (Agassi's) and other familiar Nike shoes.

Not sure if a completely new shoe or one with Adidas elements is gonna have the same hype ...
