He's always been like that. When he was in the indies, he seemed loose with Chris Hero. Someone on that thread suggested Kidd being his manager and I agree. Kidd being his hype man like Gedo would be :ahh:

The problem is always Vince, his dementia riddled ass always has an excuse. :old:

The old Vince wouldn't stand for this shyt, and do a complete overhaul, but new Vince expects things to flow in time.
And the biggest reason for this is he let the WWE go public, to become and stay a billionaire (didn't happen) and investors don't care about pushes or individual wrestlers. They care only about the bottom line. So WWE tries to find the best that they can market for toys and views on the WWE Network, built from the initial investment at great expense.

So they play it tremendously safe, to protect merchandising and hoping they can find subscribers in a genre they have made completely stale from lessons unlearned from the Monday Night Wars. They are doing things what caused WCW to fold, except for overpaying the wrestlers besides the ones at the very top.

With that, they are not able to recruit the best talent (Vince still prefers his own creations so that stifles creativity to), and they have a bunch of disgruntled employees that are just going to draw a paycheck for as long as they can.

All of this would be fine if they'd only allowed Cena to get some decent character development, Cesaro to actually get a real push when he had Heyman and won the Andre Royal Rumble (2 a year?? :comeon:), and CM Punk to exist with Bryan as their matches were great. As such, the material is made relatively safe and has become stagnant.

Yeah we know...its called politically burying someone. Just got done getting the best kind of matches up can get out of Roman at this point in his run and it didn't mean nothing. Have the loved fan favorite shake his hand after the match. Just like with Bryan the night after Fast Lane but that wasn't no hick crowd and they booed Bryan reciting Stephanie's lines on the mic.

I'm not accepting that as a reason to not give him a big push, though.
Not with the guys in the past this company has forced down the fans' throats.
Reigns couldn't even formulate a complete sentence on live television to declare himself an entrant into the Royal Rumble and he was shot out of a rocket into the main event of WM.
A push to the upper midcard is more than feasible for Cesaro, and if Vince really wanted to push him, he'd force it regardless.
Anything else is making excuses for politics, because that's all it is.

I dont understand why this is still a thing, as if WWE never pushed wrestlers based on their athletic prowess despite their shortcomings on the mic

This. Not every wrester need mic skills or need to be good or even decent on the mic.

The undertaker, ultimate warrior, Goldberg, (crow) sting, lesnar, rvd, and jeff hardy are examples that you don't need good mic skills or mic skills period to be a top star.:ehh:

These guys got over by character, physical presence, or wrestling ability. You only need one good to great niche to be a top star. There's different ways to be a top star. :yeshrug:

Not everyone needs to have the complete package. Cesaro niche is more of the jeff hardy/ rvd type in the sense that he could get over based on what he does in the ring.:dame:

THIS. Needs to lose the jacket, at least, and wear suits and be either a confident face or an a$$hole heel. Depending on alignment, he could remove or rip the suit as his in-ring entrance finisher reveal he's ready to kick ass. If confident face, he's a friendly, helpful dude who at least tries to talk to the ladies. As a heel, he tries to get under your skin with how much smarter he is than you, probably shoot vignettes with him being a dikk in some Euro supercar or touring bike.

This shyt is actually easy to write. And you'd start seeing him relax mkre, as he's now being a true actor and becoming the character, than trying to act like he's trying to get over all the time.
I'm too good at this....:smugbiden: Let's see how he does as his coming return promo (likely would be backstage), and first feud.
