Ever wonder how many more/less rings your team would have if playoffs were in place a long time ago? (Of course you have)

Just for argument's sake, let's go back about 20 years and imagine what would've transpired if CFB would have had a 4-team playoff in place.

I went back to 1994 and looked at the AP polls for the final week of every season (before bowl games were played). Playoffs would be seeded #1 v #4 and #2 v #3.

Props for this, defitnely would have changed the scope of champions. Still think back to 2006 when michigan didn't get a rematch with us in the title game, but bama n lsu got it in 11

Really? I only saw the one where they ranked past champions. I think it was before the 2005 championship game that USC lost.

I can't speak on any of the others, but this shyt right here woulda been CRACK. The rematch of the "Kick 6" game in addition to being one of the fiercest rivalries in all of sports? And don't sleep on my Spartans in the other game (I've long thought we deserved that title shot over Auburn that year). The best defense in the country featuring the best secondary in the country (two 1st round picks at corner on that squad and Dennard won the Thorpe Award that year) versus the Heisman trophy winning, future #1 overall pick. Not to mention all the other future NFL talent on the field for both teams. Might've had the most since that Texas/USC classic. Yeah, I would've loved to see these games.
