:ohhh: either he was secretly ghostwriting Gambino's mixtape stuff or he figured Glover retired from rap so he can take his style and run with it without issue. That's clearly his mixtape/because the internet flow, even how he was flipping words (they hung out for years so it's in the realm of possibility)

J. Cole already moved himself out a the paint so he actually has a chance with this project, they had a HUGE overlap in fanbases imo and they are actually starving right now:manny:

Hopefully he started fresh and didn't put no music from 6 years ago on the album like that single he put out.

Never understood the hype behind him.

There was no hype other than the fact that Chance the Rapper's dad is Chicago DNC and is colleagues and friends with Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel.

Rahm's brother Ari Emanuel headed WME-IMG, the world's largest talent agency, now known as Endeavor and IMG, which basically makes him one of the most powerful men in entertainment.

Basically, Chance was the most blatant and extreme example of an industry plant in Hip Hop history.
