Pay attention to this:
Bucs DC Mike Smith has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Chargers' head-coaching vacancy, and signed an extension in Tampa.
Smith looked like one of the favorites in San Diego — excuse us, Los Angeles — so this could be a repudiation of a toxic organization slated to spend the next two years in a temporary stadium. There have been rumors the Bolts want to foist their current offensive staff on any new hire, which if true is the exact sort of thing that would scare a veteran like Smith away. Smith did an excellent job with the Bucs' defense this season, turning it into an above-average unit down the stretch.

Smith didn't want to be a fall guy for a shytty team that would probably let him go in a year or two. Same shyt that happened with Chip Kelly.
They often hire brothers for the lean times, then fire him and bring in a white dude when they're about to get better.
Remember how everybody thought Luke Walton was gonna turn the Lakers around? And acted like Byron Scott was the problem? Well the Lakers have lost how many games in a row now?
Chargers will probably keep him for 2 years max, then bring in someone else.
