Concluded that since last year was supposedly a great black history month for black people (Black Panther dropping & taking over Mainstreams media) white people weren't gonna let us have a repeat.

I came to this same conclusion too :mjlol:

BP had people coming out in dashikis, little Black children in classrooms dancing,memes.etc. Regardless of what you may feel about the film itself, it really was a positive phenomenon for Black people.

This February has been just like any other month in the year, just more noticeable considering it's Black History Month. What's more noteworthy to me is the lack of enthusiasm for Black History Month this year. It's almost like it was cancelled but nobody bothered with officially making it known that it's no longer a thing. Which is okay with me. It's ridiculous to designate a month for a subject that should be given importance all year round.

It's like Valentines day. There should not be a need to set aside one day of the year to tell that special person in your life how much you care. That should be constant feature. Same with mothers and Mother's Day. etc..

You noticed the lack of enthusiasm also? It's odd considering that people are embracing their distinctive ethnic identity.

People are digging in, closing ranks. Which on one hand isn't entirely a bad thing, but at the same time its evident this society is headed towards something.
