Because that's literally what a settlement is. Its not an admission of guilt or innocence. It's just them mutually deciding to resolve it outside of a courtroom.
They signed NDA and cannot speak directly on each other anymore. Thats why his apology was generic. He cant mention Cassie anymore.

He only put out a statement after the lil rod suit denying that one.

You know what? You're right. I forgot all about that. Usually there is some worked in language that keeps the person that got paid from being able to say anything further about the person she's saying did something to her... but there very well could be language keeping him from speaking on her as well. We're just speculating though.

Obviously i wasnt there that night,but the way Jessica Reid was crying in that interview, seems like something happened imo. And he doesnt seem apologetic enough from what ive seen unless i missed it. If a woman got raped due to a situation I bought her into,I would feel eternally partially responsible. Doesnt matter if he took part or not. But based on his past remarks,I wouldnt put it past him,seemed like his m.o.
