Oh my god i was just thinking about that nikka C Hamilton in the shower earlier today (no homo). But, all jokes aside, I think he coulda been a better version of Kendrick until he started taking rapid L's and faded away. Lyrically he would murder Cornball Lamar

My Pops Forever RIP
Charles Hamilton

between his backstory, production, and storytelling, he had all the makings to be a star, whereas Blu had a ceiling on what he could do. Nobody knew what to do with him and since he was nuts, it didn't make shyt easier.

He's just 26 and it's like his career has been over for 5 years now, yet he put out enough music to last a lifetime (literally, I stopped trying to keep up with his shyt now). Kid simply needed guidance.

That nikka charles was a genius with this music stuff, plus a actual artist meaning he played instruments and didn't just rap.

Music>>>>>his soul.

But the streets and drugs did him in. I don't even think he can bounce back, granted he's only 20 something now so he still got a chance if he can mask that crazy...or someone can get the world to embrace it 100%

I STILL bump charles joints. I'm 30 and that nikka was like 19-21 dropping knowledge, emotion, and realness. I can't think of any youngsta that did it like that, especially NON gangsta rap.

there's absolutely nothing wack about blu, i don't even see how one can call his career even underwhelming

maybe he's not as popular as he should be even on an indie level. blu's discog holds up against any of the rappers debuting post 2007 and between me and @Yoda we could prove it to you

also i was a big charles fan for sometime when he debuted, i probably could still be a fan if I had time to sift through all the bullshyt but i hardly have enough time for dope music :yeshrug:

Both sorta oddball yet talented dudes, who had a spark when they started but now...you know the rest. :manny:

I love both the Pink Lavalamp and Below The Heavens, and I still sorta check for stuff from them...but I can't help but think that they totally could've been big...but for certain reasons (drugs, mental issues, laziness?) they couldn't make it to the next level....

So who do y'all think is a better example of wasted potential?
drugs fukk everything up, but,
