I hate to hear people talking all this fantasy BS with type of path or plan. "I'm gonna to change the world" :martin:

:what:Really? What you gon do, extract energy from H20? Can't even make koolaid right.

Only a few people ever see their dreams come true. It would be like hitting that Billion dollar lottery last month. Face it, most people are born poor and are going to die poor.

What sane person would put so much into something that's fantasy and so farfetched and unlikely to come true? You're stupid.
:snoop:

I've cousin that's been rapping since the 1990s ain't made a dollar. I've dated wannabe models and actresses, the farthest they got was having their photos taken by some perv at the EconoLodge. When I was a teacher, kids asked me, what should I try to be when I grew up. I told them, it's hard to say especially if you from a family that don't have any doctors, engineers or lawyer to get first hand knowledge from. I tell them to chance the money, bcuz money will make it possible for you pursue other endeavors, cuz when you broke and at a job you hate, you're fukked. Most kids just say that sounds good. That's what are society teaches us to do, sound good and look good with no plans of action.

Personally, I've never dreamed. I've only tried my best and avoided CACs, Cops, court and child support. I'm a project baby so all I ever really wanted was a 96 Impala SS, a decent crib and some chicks to bring there.

I'm an OVERACHIEVER!!! :blessed.

What I do do is have goal that I clean make a direct path to. IT cert, check. Buy a house, rent out the basement, check. Finish degree. Save up, buy another property and rent it out. Stop playing yourself and come up with realistic plans and goals.

Some of you are shooting for the stars and never leaving the ground.
I rather climb to the roof, then the trees, then the mountains, just go far as I can.

Too much optimism becomes delusion. You really need to know what it takes and how difficult shyt is.

This kind of parallels Black in America. Most of us really don't know what kind of climb we're facing America. We don't know have deeply entrenched the hate is for us. We don't know how bad they fukked up financially. We can never be equal here.

Your line of thought is paradoxical. No offense man, but you seem hopeless. I get your point. It's best to have assurances in life. Making money and owning homes is never a bad idea.

I've chased all my dreams. And I wouldn't be the man I am if I hadn't. I wouldn't have gotten out of the hood or expanded my world view if I hadn't said fukk security and went for it. My mom is still pulling her hair out because she plays it safe and I didn't. She never was married never loved someone. She is Mrs. Practicle.

Maybe it's cause I'm a Sag/scorpio but I long for mystery. I need adventure to survive. The impulse only gets stronger as I grow older. I've lived more life than some people who are 45 man.

Yeah I've made a lot of mistakes and dropped out of college. I also started a business at 20. Fell in love twice. Found my passion. Figured out a lot of shyt isn't for me. I wouldnt trade any of that for the option to play it safe and not chase my dreams.

I achieved all of them. Except going pro in soccer and having a family at 26. I dated the love of my life. Then I dated the second love of my life. I drive my dream car. I live in my dream neighborhood and I have my dream job. I wear the clothes I dreamed about. There are downsides to it though. When things don't work out for me I become severely depressed.

You're successful. I can't deny that. Hopeless was the wrong term. I should have said boring. I'm smart enough to play it safe and stay winning. But it's boring to me. You and I are both goal oriented. Our goals seem to be the same. You're driving a Honda to yours and I'm riding a bullet proof tiger with wings.

Maybe you do have dreams. They're just not lofty or unattainable to you. So you view them as goals. I consider my goals dreams because the success rate is low and I may never reach them because they're so high up.
