Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III will start Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN.

NBC4 D.C. earlier reported the decision.

Griffin hasn't played since dislocating his left ankle in Week 2.

Griffin was a full participant Wednesday in practice for the first time since injuring his ankle and again took snaps with the first-team offense.

What did Colt do that Robert doesn't do nearly every week? Colt is a poor man's Robert Griffin. He has a noodle arm and requires receivers to bail him out instead of putting them in a position to get YAC. I am sure RGIII will be on a short leash but his career numbers are undeniable. Colt historically suck's and has a weak arm. One thing Colt has that Kirk doesn't is guts. Robert has more guts than both of them put together imo. He will shine.

I think that will happen one way or another but in the long run RgIII will land on his feet somewhere . McCoy sucks, straight up, and time will reveal that too.

you must have not really been paying attention. Please don't let the media gas him. Colt McCoy didn't do shyt. It was just great playcalling and open receivers. His passes were thrown horribly for the most part, if he throws better passes, Redskins are up 21-7 in that first half. He underthrew Jackson 3 times, on another 2 occasions he delivered dirtballs that gave his receivers no chance of doing what they do best, which is YAC. His only really great play was that Jordan Reed throw in OT. Dude did nothing RG3 can't do. McCoy is not a starter in the NFL
