Said RG3 needs to get rid of the ball either throwing it away, or checkdowns, so that he won't take so many hits and live longer in the league.
Said Kaepernick needs to find his checkdowns to take his game and the team to the next level.
Basically, they both need to get better.

I can't really agree with Ray tho, it's easy for him to say hit the check downs and get rid of the ball quickly cause that's what he was accustom to with the shytty QB play he had majority of his career. He played on good-great defense that could afford to play field position games. These two teams are gonna been to put up points to make noise.

hes right that kaep isnt hitting the checkdowns. but also our OC barely calls short passes and I think he actually encourages big big plays all the time. cant have those all the time.

I think he calls em based of Kaep strength. When he scramble of the pocket and those recievers are down field, he's a problem.
Kaep firing 100mph spirals to RB out the backfield or tryna hit the slot WR running a drag could get real ugly, real quick for ya'll.

the problem is against good defenses we go 3 and out with that strategy. a LOT of 3 and outs.
our D can hold up for a few quarters, but it becomes piss tired.
when you bank on the deep ball, you also need to have personnel for it. kaep has a fastball but his accuracy has been suspect this year. vd is our only deep threat. our oline is maulers who can run block amazingly but pass blocking is just above average.
to top it off we have a very conservative head coach who loves 2TE and power formations.
our offense is too clunky for us to be able to power run/ and chuck it downfield. its not oiled enough.
against good defenses we end up in lots of 2nd and long and 3rd and long situations. and then teams blitz us at will, and since we have zero ways to combat the blitz we punt.
this is where we need those slants and screens and checkdowns to come into play. we have tons of dudes who can do stuff in space.
