Chelsea Handler and Instagram are in a battle over the comedienne’s topless photo posts. The photo-sharing site responsible for selfie obsession removed several of Handler’s boob shots, which prompted the actress to accuse Instagram of sexism Thursday.

The topless photograph of Chelsea Handler on horseback is the latest round in the war of words. According to Entertainment Tonight the 39-year-old created a parody pic of Russian President Vladimir Putin topless while horseback. The photo was originally captioned, "Anything a man can do, a woman has the right to do better #kremlin." But the photo was removed. The Instagram post, which is censored in all of the right places, can be seen at ET.

Chelsea Handler reposted the topless photo, “Taking this down is sexist. I have every right to prove I have a better body than Putin," and as predicted the social media app pulled it. Handler responded with a screen shot of Instagram’s reason for taking the half naked spoof down, “We removed your post because it doesn’t follow our Community Guidelines.” The former TV talk show host added, “If a man posts a photo of his nipples, it's ok, but not a woman? Are we in 1825?”

Handler persisted and added the photo for a third time, blasting Instagram, "If Instagram takes this down again, you're saying Vladimir Putin has more 1st amendment rights than me. Talk to your bosses." The picture was removed.

Chelsea Handler is no stranger to posting topless photographs. In August she posed like a “Kardashian,” which remains on Instagram, however another was removed earlier in October as she flashed a breast amongst clothed friends. Nor is she alone in her battle against allowing mammary glands to be seen on Instagram. Rihanna deleted her account, Scout Willis took to the streets of New York City in protest, and Miley Cyrus and Cara Delvigne also support the freedom for women to post topless selfies.

Gawker reported the first photograph of the topless Chelsea Handler lasted for 30 minutes before the battle began. Apparently Instagram wants to keep the site “safe.” Considering it is inundated with children and teen users, who is correct? If an account is public anyone has access to nude photographs, including children. Should Handler and others have the right to bare their breasts? Feel free to comment below.
