I have a coworker whose husband got giloblastoma, like the worst form of brain cancer. It came out of nowhere; one day they were celebrating her son (his stepson) graduating HS, getting ready to go off to college, and the next day dude was having trouble remembering stuff and occasionally slurring his words. Went to the doctor after a couple days, and then they find out it's a brain tumor. I felt so bad for her, cause she had gotten out of a real bad marriage, and she's literally one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Now she found this dude, the love of her life, and after four years he gets handed a death sentence. It's sad, brehs.... :sadcam:

Going through this right now with a family member. She's only 19. Had a pain in her jaw which she initially thought was a tooth ache, turns outs it was a tumor and had to get her whole mandible removed. Doctors thought they had gotten rid of it, but a few months later it came back and now it's at the base of her skull and is on its way to her brain. She's in constant pain and just downs narcotics every few hours that barely gives her any relief. She has to do chemo+radiation which the doctors dont even think is gonna work. This all happened over the span of the last 18 months. Man words can't even explain how fukking sad this shyt is.

You know what; I felt curiously conflicted... I came in here valuing health, but at the same time was talking with some of my HS classmates and other friends back in NY via FB, complaining about the closing of Gray's Papaya in the Village, where you could get cheap hot dogs at like 4 in the morning; perfect spot to hit up after a night of clubbing in the city. :to: Plus they're closing it to open up a juice bar.
