“Prior site visits have yielded only recommendations and collegial advice to Cheyney, which the university has adopted,” state university and legislative officials said in a letter to the commission.
Cheyney University, the oldest historically Black college (HBCU) in the United States, is no longer on probation after the Middle States Commission on Higher Education placed the school on probation last November.
