Chicago brehs put me up on cabrini greene and the 80s

I'm from the bay but my fam is from there. Have fam from cabrini greene and they always talk about how they couldn't even walk down the street without some real shyt going down.
But then some moved to the bay and lived in oakland in the 80s so they felt like they went from one hellhole to another.

But i honestly want to know how was chicago in the 80s for real. No judging here. I had entire family grow up there and they are the craziest people i've ever known.

It's crazy they said 2/3 of the people living there were kids.

All the single moms were living there, while dudes knew to avoid that place.

In 1992 a kid got shot by a sniper on top of the roof and they say that is what made them tear down the projects.
