It‘s an L in the sense the dude on the tracks started the fight against someone smaller than him. Notice they refer to him as the attacker in serious condition and the victim in good condition.

I posted the wrong article. They got it wrong. The dude who uploaded the video even said in the comments that the one who started the fight got the worst of it.

The first man was burned on his left leg and suffered abrasions to his mouth, and was hospitalized in good condition. But the man who police say started the fight ended up on the third rail – which sent 600 volts of electric shocks through him.
