You have to grow to change your experience.

When I was in middle school giving someone their flowers meant death like, ima put them on your grave or casket. It supposedly came from before my time cause when cats used to fight in the parks or outside school when someone got knocked out or knocked down, their face goes in the dirt/dandelions aka flowers.

I still do a double take when I hear people say "Give them their flowers".
