Chicago on track for fewest murders in a decade

CHICAGO — With one month left in the year, Chicago is on track to have the lowest number of annual murders in more than a decade.
Newly released crime numbers show 390 people were murdered through the end of November. That’s the lowest number since 2014.
Chicago had 586 murders last year and has seen a decrease in killings every year since 2021 when the city saw 805 murders.

based on what I am seeing on social media, a lot of the youths aren't as heavily influenced by drill rappers and gangs like they use to.
