Chicken and Watermelons

Ok. I hope some black guys here don't kill me here. I'm just curious why some black peeps are getting offended when they are told to "Go eat chicken and watermelon" or something like that?

First, everybody eats chicken and watermelon regardless of race. If it was something country based like sushi or pasta then i'll understand.

shyt like this pisses me off.

Not because of the chicken and watermelon, but because of that ever growing sentiment that if you're black (and I only notice this with black people) and you hear something unsavory and voice your displeasure, suddenly you need to "calm down" or "get over it" or "learn how to take a joke".

Seems like if any other person or group gets offended, it's okay and people "understand", but with us, it's just different somehow.

Makes no fukking sense to me.

nothing, just found it interesting you'd find something pertaining to asians as offensive (sushi) while shrugging us off.

at any rate, if everyone eats chicken and watermelon; why is it always being pushed on us? better yet, why are we being told "go eat xxxxx" in the first place? it's something you'll only hear online from people who'd never say it in our faces.
