Chief Keef is going to take the plunge into Christianity, a Chicago minister said Friday. The Rev. Corey Brooks, known as the “rooftop pastor,” said he plans to baptize the 17-year-old rapper when he’s released from juvenile detention. Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, is serving a 60-day sentence for violating his juvenile probation.

He was on probation for pointing a gun at Chicago Police officers. “I’m going to baptize him,” Brooks said. Brooks said he has visited Keef at the state juvenile detention facility in west suburban St. Charles

“I think people forget he is 17 years old,” Brooks said. “He is not a bad kid.”

I work in juvie, and to be honest, I don't see many "jail house" conversions. They may go to chapel, so call "believe in God, pray" but most them ain't trying to change their lives. They wanna get back on the street, rob, steal cars, etc. So if he's serious at that young age, I would be shocked. If it's for real, good for him. If not, I hope nothing happens to him.
