There wasn't enough of a sample size between Mike Johnson coming onto the scene and Harbaugh's arrival.
two years is good enough sample size in todays nfl tho. alex went from completely horrible to somewhat average/slightly below average. harbs made him into something better by removing all of his turnovers and embracing who he was.

I'm talking about Mike Johnson to Harbaugh. That was a 1/3 of a season sample size.

:dwillhuh: Stats-wise he was good this year:

303/464 65% 3,265passingyds 7.04yds per completion 18TDs 6ints 93.4QBRating

Stat wise yes. But look at his QBR along with just watching him play and he wasn't hood. Dump offs to Charles turning into 75 yard touchdowns are nothing to write home about. Kaep had a bad season, Alex according to you was pretty good. Yet kaeps QBR was a lot better. That is alex. Stats look good....then you watch him play and you understand why his numbers are respectable but fans want him gone.

You guys underestimate the value of a conservative QB. Alex Smith won't win a lot of games but he also keeps his fukk ups to a minimum. Dwayne Bowe has been absolute trash this season. Also the KC front office has not invested in the WR position in a draft that was deep at the position. Alex Smith is playing with a busted deck of cards. Jamaal Charles is a great RB but has a lot of mileage and will likely decline next season. It's all relative.
