i was just thinking wow, Jay-Z has really surpassed what was a mega-monumental figure in Diddy.

As a child my hero was Daniel Amokachi.

As an adult my "hero" is Mohammad Ali.

so i guess my childhood hero has changed not been surpassed.

but i was thinking like if your "hero" was i dont know Dr J you could say it was surpassed by Kobe (being its the same field of reason for you)

- business moguls
- sports heros
- music icons
- great speakers
- great writers
- men of history
-etc

Was the child looking at the real deal or as adulthood bought you into a new realization?

why was that ? something in their private life, character, deterioration of some kind, you gained new perspectives?

lets build.

thats the G now wow. i follow him like a shadow his doing great and in the coaching set up of the national team. the reason i love soccer the reason i play the thing and one of my first icons that made me super proud and humbled to be of pure black excellence.

changed to mohammad ali as an adult not because of anything than i think the accolades and plaudits are not enough, i think ol boy was a prophet. :hubie:

thats real talk too :wow:

Daniel amokachi Holy shyt that took me back breh

Similar ilk of childhood hero was Newcastle era Andy Cole... Being a newcastle fan back then was amazin (and about to be again) Then he was in hip hop connection with the Wu who I listen to repeatedly still, wish I still had that copy of HHC

Before that it was Raph and Spider-Man lol

Nowadays it's more complicated I suppose buts it's pretty much the same people in all honesty... Boxers fall in the supreme category though, Ali, Prince Nas, Floyd, Fury. Anyone who steps in a ring mano v mano like that has my respect but those four specifically

Just came into the thread to tell you Amokachi was trash bar the 96 Olympics :umad:

:bryan:

Malcolm X as a child
Dr. Amos Wilson as an adult

I feel that Dr. Amos Wilson is the next step after Malcolm in terms of a thinker.

this is trill. i never heard any Dr Amos Wilson lectures but props for introducing me to hopefully a new teacher.

-Magneto. Despite a couple mistakes he's stayed consistent.

bro love and light family.

over the years i never was a comic book fan but i leaned on the x-men story and magneto is the guy for me. you know and when they portrayed him by michael fassbender it truly helped capture what dude was about. dope that its based on malcolm x too. :wow:
