The US only has 20? Maybe there aren’t as many Naval bases as I thought

Edit- now that I’m considering how huge these things are and how multifaceted they are made and how complex they can be, 20 is a hella of a lot to just have on deck , no pun intended

This is actually a bigger deal then it appears. When China bought the hull (then named Varyag) of their first carrier (the Lialong) they didnt just buy some rusted Soviet junk, they bought the original plans on how to build it. This second carrier is important because it was designed and built in China from the ground up. This is something that the Russian Navy cannot currently do they dont have the money, resources or technical know-how to build a new carrier like they did during the Soviet era and that China has now.

:beli:does it really matter how many they have when they have access to nuclear missiles? i'm pretty sure they could launch a few them and most of them would hit their intended target

excuse my ignorance but what exactly makes this so difficult to build? i know they are massive and expensive, but China has the manpower and money.

america spends a sickening amount of money on the military.
the latest carrier cost $13 billion.

i doubt that china can build anything that would compare to what the US does.
