A teenager killed eight people with a knife and wounded five more in northeast China after falling out with his girlfriend, the state news media said Thursday. The 17-year-old suspect killed two of the girls family members and six other people before fleeing, the state-run newspaper Legal Daily said. It reported that he had been caught but did not describe the circumstances. The official Xinhua News Agency said the attack took place on Wednesday night in Liaoning Province. News reports said that the suspect was from Fushun and that his surname was Li. The attack happened in the town of Yongling. The police in Xinbin County, which oversees the town, declined to comment.
