Interesting documentary. Just read that they cancelled this program 2 years ago, 75% of the applicants were Chinese. Still going on in Quebec though.
Anyone know how the Chinese make all these money back home? Or is it just a numbers game (there is bound to be this many miillionaires in a country over a billion residents)?

This is also happening in suburbs outside of Toronto.
For example, May 2014, a house went 115 grand over asking, that was considered newsworthy - Richmond Hill home goes $115,100 over-asking

They are starting to fukking wake up, but of course they are always a decade too late. One of the only things I'll give Trudeau credit for is he's actually trying to fix this. He will probably get paid off in the end.
The Chinese make all this money from the Americans. With the money they make exporting their shytty merchandise, they send their kids to North America to get educated, buy houses and run businesses.

This has happened in pockets in NYC to...I can't speak for Canada but in NY its 80% Triad run...If you go down Flushing Queens, specifically main street you will see nothing but Asian shops that are straight up money laundering fronts...They have about 10 massage parlors, all right next to each other...All these little hole in the wall restaurants that server the same food you hardly ever see anybody eating in and everything is in their language...Speak to them in English and they will look at you like you're crazy...
They also buy up homes in the area...They buy out the home owner in cash and bring in their people from their countries...I know two family homes in the area that are housing people in garages...It's crazy out here...
