A Chinese handyman was left clinging for his life 100 feet from the ground after a boy cut through his safety rope so he could watch TV.
Liu Mai was fitting lights to the eighth floor block of apartments when the incident happened.
He looked up to see a 10-year-old boy sawing through his rope. The handyman had apparently disturbed the boy who was watching cartoons on TV.
Liu Mai pleaded with the boy to stop and was eventually saved by colleagues and firefighters, reported the Mirror.
He said: "I was using an electric drill to fit security lights to the outside of the building when I felt my safety rope shaking. I looked up to what was wrong.
"Then I saw the boy cutting the rope with a knife. I shouted at him to stop but he didn't listen and soon after, the rope was broken. I was petrified, I thought I was sure to fall, but he just stood and watched me."

The incident happened in China's Guizhou province, in the country's south-west.
After rescuers heard his screams, Liu Mai was hauled to safety on the 11th floor.
A fire service spokesman said: "This could have had fatal consequences. The boy didn't think about his actions. The worker was left dangling and was holding on for dear life.
"The boy clearly thought his cartoons were more important than someone's life. He has since apologised for his actions."
