This was taken from a different forum but you guys would probably enjoy this since some of you pefer Chinese Food.

Gutter Oil:
This refers to a process of pulling waste oil from sewers, grease traps, waste from slaughterhouses, reprocessing it and then selling it as cooking oil.

China will never take over
it'll take over economically, and thus give a little bit of balance, but you are correct, global leader they will not be. they have a long way to go. I used to rally for them, but the longer I stay here, the more I see that for the first time in history the number one economy will NOT be the the worlds superpower, they are socially and culturally behind.

I'm curious to see how this will work. How will the country with the most money, not make all the decisions. I guess they'll just allow america to run the show and waste all of its money until it self implodes. From what I can tell also, china has no interest in being the world leader anyways. They only care about themselves, if some war happens in some far away land, they couldnt give a flying fukk about it lol.

They'll be the superpower the world wishes for. a superpower that lets countries have it's own say in it's internal affairs and minds it's business. they'll be passive leaders as they always have been since ancient times.

I always felt the same way. That's another reason why I never think that Chinese language will ever be used like the English language internationally, like some people used to think back in the day. All lot of Chinese with economic power have a good enough English skills too.

Heard a story while back that this street vendor in china had processed pieces of cardboard and sold it as noodle soup.

Yeah China has horrible Human Rights. I once read about the Computer waste city there where countries dump Computer watse products and the entire city dedicates themselves to stripping for products

Not only that. Mandarin does not have the same expressive complexity as english. English you can really express yourself in fine detail with certain words because there is grammar. I am learning chinese so no disrespect to the language, but it is actually quite primitive and basic. The tones are what makes the language difficult, but there is no grammar. you don't actually form complex sentences. just a chunk of adjectives and nouns.
