I agree with your point but what you old heads are missing is frame of reference y'all were raised GETTING and SEEING THE REAL. Mid 90s and on wasn't/isn't raised the same way. Lot more men from broken homes/fatherless homes. Feminism engrained into basal education, social media being a loudspeaker for the aforementioned, overyl sexualized content, etc. These men are only responding to the conditioning their environment gave them, but then essentially they cross from boy to man the night before their 18th and people expect them to have practical skills, basal intelligence, job/or good major in school, and the ability to get bytches or they are a less than on their way to being a loser.
It's a long way of saying they were set up to fail by your peer group. Kids didn't just fall off, half assed/trash/absent parenting preceded/precipitated that.
To give perspective for a younger breh who gets/understands/knows hot to deal with women, but has largely lost interest. I was lucky enough to come from a two parent home that instilled education and morals. From there I was able to make my way with their guidance. While most of their advice on women was more boundaries/staying out of legal issues/unwanted pregnancy/STIs than on finding a good woman/attracting women. I was able to quickly ID patterns in women because I did so in school. You crunch numbers, weigh stats, and figure the path to optimizing your output while honing efficiency. At this point I and the many men of my ilk in my generation don't see th point. Playing a game and winning is great, but not as great or even decent if you don't enjoy playing, or if you feel you could do something more constructive with the time.

No it's frame of mind, and technology for a lot of you old head hoes always wasn't shyt. You just didn't get why until you got older.
For us women were sold as equals from rip, and saying otherwise wasn't permitted. So most dudes are going into "the game" with no knowledge on the rules, only an objective.
When guys figure out how far women are from what they were sold to us as they leave without copping anything as opposed to taking an L to the Bait and Switch.
Technology has also made people's live so accessible/transparent so hoes seem extra dumb relative to their forerunners.
On another somewhat related note I'd argue technology has made people on average dumber.
To answer your question though while they are probably as bad relative, their was a different level of expectation hence a different level of disappointment, so rather than settle for an idealistic woman that you were sold, but never truly existed you'd rather just not be bothered unless, it's 80%+ compliance off top then approaches 90%+. In other words men who can play are choosing not too because they think the game is worth the time/outcome most of the time, and only play when they feel it's worth it.

Fastest way to stop being a priority is making her the top priority.
As man, we need a fine chick who we can have great conversations with. We don't go around thinking "she needs to lead, she needs to provide" because that's not what's up historically speaking (socially, economically).
As women.. more than that they want us to look good etc. they want us to lead and provide. Of course there are nuances, you have to be able to communicate like an adult with a grown woman. But the last thing she wants is that you drop everything for her. That's weakness, the opposite of leadership and being able to provide. It's deeper than money, it's about: safety, masculine vs feminine energy and COMMON SENSE if you've seen it happen 10,000 times.
