Sitting here watching it right now on Bounce. And it REALLY set in for me this time around This is something we should all aspire towards being it at least having in our circle. Let's just review:

Duck is distraught, Leon is trying to throw money at the situation, Flash finally saw his moment to stunt on Eddie's ass. Choir Boy is the ONLY one truly looking out for him. Breh looked him in the eye, gave his number, and truly wanted him to reach out for that road to redemption....




And he still did. All those years later

He was a real one

You gotta understand choirboys fountain was in the church so when he saw a brother in need he responded with what came naturally to him. Sidenote Choir boy's transformation throughout the movie is great to watch.

Man, I love Robert Townsend, no One of the realest brehs in Hollywood. He is the model for black excellence in that industry. fukk a Spike Lee. fukk a Tyler Perry. Townsend is a pro-black creator who didn't compromise and did his best to push a positive image of black people in Hollywood. And he's a legitimately funny cat, too.

I overlooked that part, and I always harped on how Dresser flipped on Eddie. Dude in another thread explained it to me, and what he said made sense


Film showed how fame changed people and even meek humble Choir Boy was approaching women saying "I'm the lead singer of the Hertbeats". I overlooked that he helped get Eddie back on his feet.

Funniest part of the film is how JT becomes a hypnotist and convinced Duck's girl that she really loves him. The scene and her acting is hilarious.
