Chris Brown will have to remain in jail for another 131 days. The Grammy winning R&B singer admitted to violating his probation after an incident last October (2013) outside a hotel in Washington, D.C., and now must sit in jail longer.

During a court appearance on Friday (May 9), Brown admitted to committing the Washington, D.C. crime where he was charged with misdemeanor assault for punching a 20-year-old man.

Brown was facing four years for violating his probation, but according to the AP, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced him to a year and gave him eight months credit for the time already served in jail (since-mid March) and in rehab. The 131 days also includes credit for good behavior in the LA county jail, Brown being young when the attack on Rihanna took place and his recent bipolar diagnosis.

Brown’s probation violation stems from his 2009 felony assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna. He will remain on probation until Jan 23 and will still have to complete the remainder of his 1,000 hours of community labor once he is released from jail.

Our prayers to Chris Brown

he always wanted to pretend to be 'hard'...no here's his chance....:sas1:

bet he crying at night now tho...wondering where he went wrong....:sas2:

im curious to see how he reacts when he gets out...will he keep up his act or dye his hair back black...cover those stupid tats and act like he has some sense now :manny:

we're told the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days. And here's the thing. Chris gets credit for 2 days for every 1 he served behind bars, so when you add it up, he has credit for 234 days -- 6 days shy. So he could be released in days.

The judge could have gone a lot harder -- 4 years in prison. But Chris got a break because the judge took into account he was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which could account for some of the violence.

The judge also ordered Chris to attend therapy sessions with a shrink 2 times a week. And he must submit to random drug testing 3 times a week.

Chris is not out of the legal woods ... his D.C. assault trial is set to start in the following months. :bryan:
