When you create the pipelines, you own what comes out of it.Its always tricky to say they "created it"
We know they damn sure promoted it.

Hey I know you could use an easy way to make money, so here take this highly addictive substance for next to nothing. But hey, I didn't tell you to sell it or get smart and figure out how to sell it efficiently. That addiction, community destruction, and violence is all on youpaternalism is wrong
Poor guyIts always tricky to say they "created it"
We know they damn sure promoted it.
What's worse? The above or letting a foreign nation meme and spam a citizenry hoping to get them to change their vote?I still ain't as educated on this one as I should be. But I think it's more a case of "they let things slide cause their allies were doing it" than "they were actively working to destroy the Black community." The receipts are there that they were letting the Contras get drug shipments out of Nicaragua and into the USA and didn't stop it when they could have. The receipts for them literally funneling those drugs into the Black community as a concentrated attack against the inner city are more suspect.
Not that I'm necessarily saying the CIA is above such things (the combination of shyt the FBI did against the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s and the Black Power Movement in the 1970s and 1980s, combined with the things the CIA has done in other countries, sets a damn low bar). But people are self-serving, and I'm not convinced yet that creating the crack epidemic served their interests in a meaningful way.
I'm welcome to be proven wrong though.
Now, we SHOULD be concentrating on the receipts that are there. The Contras were torturous murderers and terrorists and they learned all that directly from USA training. They assassinated civilians and terrorized populations, and we encouraged them to do it. And when they needed funding by shipping drugs into our own borders, we let those drugs slide in. There are a lot of receipts for all of that, and we should have done a better job taking them down.
The fact that Reagan, Oliver North, etc. all basically got away with that stuff and are heroes now is the result of completely massive incompetence and complicity by the opposition at the time.
We also gotta remember how they went about fukking over the Russians in afghanistanI still ain't as educated on this one as I should be.
