I mean Sarver is legit in the run of the worst sports franchise owners in the country....We didn't expect them to blow up like that this season. But they did...If Sarver is serious about the suns competing for titles he may need to resign Paul...If he's comfortable with them being a playoff team he can let him go as Paul will most def not be worth what he will receive.

Yeah, but he shouldn't just give CP3 and his agent a blank check to name their offer. If CP3 ask for something over 3 years/$100M Sarver might just have to let another team give him that

If Kyle Lowry is asking and looking for 100mil/3yr, then Chris Paul’s bytchass has every right to ask for the same, if not more

That being said, I wouldn’t want to pay him that kind of bread if I’m Phoenix. You’re essentially capped at max Booker, max Ayton, overpaid CP3, and maybe one other guy you’re overpaying to try and give that extra push

All this young depth with Cameron Johnson and Mikal Bridges with Crowder on a MLE and Payne on a 360 deal is out the window once you pay CP3 and give Ayton his extension

He's worth it if you think he can stay relatively healthy and play the way he has over the last two seasons over the next 3 years. He's worth it if you think the Suns will be contenders with him but not without him :manny:

But if you think he's not gonna be able to sustain this for the next 3 years and/or you think the Suns aren't getting back to the Finals with or without him, then yeah some hard conversations will have to be had

Also, the optics of voluntarily letting the player that was the catalyst for the Suns best season in almost 30 years leave will not be kind to Sarver
