Bro, both Will and Jada have been Hollywood inhabitants for decades. They know how these events play out and what comedians do in them. Comedians have been joking on their celebrity colleagues for longer than you been alive. You can find examples literally everywhere. Will could have just as easily spazzed out if the joke had been about him in some light-hearted way.
