Chris Wallace was the best moderator out of the three debates.

He was assertive in making sure they stayed on topic and kept it from spiraling out of control. He stayed pretty fair and balanced (hate using this term here but it fits) with the series of questions and how he measured the way each candidate could respond. Admonished the audience every time to keep it from devolving to a jerry springer spectacle.

Can we go back and have him redo the first two debates? :mjcry:

I hate that a Fox News anchor was the best moderator and fair moderator in this whole series but it is what it is. Though I understand he is a democrat so it balances out a bit.

He outright lied about social security and medicare with the typical right wing propaganda. Most of his questions were about getting us into more wars and social fluff. No questions on climate change, Citizen's United, or the war on drugs. He was the best of the three but still pretty bad as far as the discourse goes.

He had about as much control as Anderson Cooper, but I suppose he wasn't too bad.
We honestly need a far more authoritative moderator.

Anderson cooper and Martha Radditz weren't able to maintain adherence to the time limits as well as Wallace. Also they did nothing to curtail hooting from the audience which is annoying to be honest. Plus Anderson Cooper and Martha especially were way more involved in the debate than Wallace. There was a point in the debate where it seems Martha was getting into a debate with Trump which was obnoxious.

I'll have to disagree. If anything the second debate was the worst one and Wallace did a significantly better job.

Some of these issues were raised in the previous debates. In each debate they highlighted that not any one debate will answer all questions. On the Medicare question, the solvency is a problem and raising taxes in order to maintain it is a fair question I think.

They should always have 3 debates

The first one moderated by Bill O'Reilly and Fox

The second one moderated by Rachel Maddow and NBC

The third one should be on PBS moderated by Tavis Smiley

it was the last debate though so generally the candidates were going to be on their "better" behavior.

:scust: @Tavis Smiley.

We'll get a lot of emotional personality questions that have no bearing on governance like that silly question from that audience member "what do you like about your opponent? " :jbhmm:

He is a good interviewer for this very reason but he would suck as a moderator. The other two I think are obvious tongue in cheek. :skip:

He said the "biggest driver of our debt is entitlements' which is GOP propaganda 101 fed by the heads at Fox News, anything else was just forcing both to accept that grand bargain bs from 2011. SS and Medicare aren't going anywhere anytime soon but we can raise the cap and do things to make sure it last generations from now. And the three topics I listed were barely brought up over the 3 debates by any moderator. But war, immigration, and how terrible both candidates are got alot of play :francis:

I ain't giving any of these dudes props because they were all trash
