Whats he supposed to do? Yea .. let his ass walk instead of clogging up your cap for the next 4-5 years by taking on a resigned Humphries (10+ per), a newly signed Lopez (he's a restricted and is about to get paid off the 'strength' of his height alone.. think 12-14MM) and an undersized 2 guard in Brooks?

Oh yea.. cant forget about the draft picks that will be at 26th or worse.

Let him walk. He wont be able to sign outright in Jersey after the season .. so if they want him, they need to get other teams involved. I'm all for moving him, but not for trash on long term contracts.

why do you say that?

This is why you aren't a Gm , thanks for letting us know you would throw the franchises future in the bushes.

If this happened Brooklyn will be :win: their first season. Not like actually winning it all but way better than they've been in like ten years. :mjpls:

I just can't see Orlando sending him there though. He's been trying to force his way there forever, why give in now?

Probably because none of the other teams with viable trade pieces want to rent Dwight for one season.

Brooklyn gets a lot worse from that trade. Their starting lineup will be good but they will have no bench whatsoever. If Dwight's back flares up, they're done. If D-Will gets hurt, they're done.

Orlando
why do you say that?

How will they be able to fit him under the cap without it being a sign and trade? We already know that if Orlando doesnt deal him NOW, they're damn sure not willing to play ball after this season. (Like I said.. UNLESS the Nets get other teams involved in the trade)

This is why you aren't a Gm , thanks for letting us know you would throw the franchises future in the bushes.

Instead of being a dikk, elaborate on why that would be 'throwing the franchise into the bushes'

Dwight/D-Will/Joe Johnson aren't at the same level as LeBron/Wade/Bosh or a :flabbynsick: KG/Allen/Pierce/Rondo.

And even then, Miami still had a capable Battier/Cole/Haslam off the bench. Nets will be fielding a D-league team as their bench :dwillhuh:

There's some truth to the statement though, You saw what happened when Bosh went down and how hard the Heat had to fight to advance. With that said, every team with a star player runs that same risk, so this train of thought shouldn't be stopping the Nets.
