IMO best version of the game is the DS version but I agree that it's overdue for a proper remake/remaster.
Let me stay on the hype train and say we need an Expedition 33 style remake of Chrono Trigger.

The fact that the bolded is true in 2025 is crazy. I'm not a fan of constant remakes/remasters, but for some games, they really do need to be modernized from time to time to keep the game relevant with present/future audiences.

Seems weird that they never brought it to modern consoles. A lot of people already emulated the game on pc and would actually buy it for Switch/PS5
