that was the first song that came to mind but i'm gonna be going nuts over this guitar lick now. it probably is a Quik song and it's probably not a straight sample, just something that sounds similar like 100 Others just posted
Well damn. I didnt even think to just google and see plus I dont even have this cd anymore. That Quik joint is classic but I'd love it even more if ue would've kept the beat fhe same in this instance because the original song is so smooth, smoother than his joint. I could hear him and Suga Free just spitting pimp shyt on it had this been a song from 98' or 97'
I dont think this counts as a sample... its a 2 chord combination... there are only 30 commonly used 2 chord combinations in western music... baselines are not the same although close...
