Clarence Thomas told staffers at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission that “God only knows where I would be today” if not for the legal principles of equal employment opportunity measures such as affirmative action that are “critical to minorities and women in this society.”

“These laws and their proper application are all that stand between the first 17 years of my life and the second 17 years,” Thomas, then the EEOC chairman, said in 1983.

You can tell something switched with him and completely altered his behavior and thinking. To go from basically being a black separatist to a far right idealogue married to a white woman. It happened before Anita Hill obviously but I also think he's been on a clear path of retribution since then. Even the Biden connection...he was more than willing to illegally hand the election to Trump whereas virtually the rest of the legal system in the country said nah.

I think Justice Scalia had a big influence on him once he got on the SC.
