The talent that surrounded him in his prime. To this day I don't know how he went to 3 straight finals and won 2. Kobe had them dudes in fear of their life if they dint give 100%. No fukin way should those 3 years that team should have been that good

co-sign. just look at the talent on the nuggets roster in 08 that the Lakers sweat. other than for kobe, man for man the nuggets team was way more talented. its incredible what he did those 3 years.

Everyone knows that Prime Kobe>Bron in terms of scoring, but Kobe is not a better player.
Defense and passing, I won't count rebounding because Bron is 2+ inches taller.

bron is the better passer but not by much. and defense they are both equal. prime kobe was arguably the top perimeter defender in the league. he could lock anyone. kobe is a much better scorer though. and lets not forget the clutch factor.

Be an emotional Kobe stan who spits fallacies brehs

Shot Selection and BBIQ: Bron>>>
Passing: Bron>>>
Defense: Bron>>>

Everyone compares Bron to Magic, and before he was in the league he was seen as an athletic version of him. You can say Bron is top 5, arguragly top 3. No one says Kobe is anywhere near top 5.

kobe's peers say so. just a couple of weeks ago D-Wade said he was #2 all-time. Durant before that said Jordan and Kobe were 1 and 1a. I think you meant that the fat john hollinger types who never played ball a day in their lives don't think kobe is top 5. not "anyone." there are many respected former nba players, coaches, and gms who think kobe is top 5 all-time. including many of his peers.

I only saw Jordan 97 and 98. IMO Kobe in his prime was better. I never saw Jordan's first 3-peat outside of classic games so I can't really judge prime Jordan vs. prime Kobe. From the few games I've seen, all I can say is they seem equivalent in terms of ability. There was nothing I saw Jordan do in the early 90s that I haven't seen Kobe do before.

so when it comes watching basketball since 1997, Kobe is the best I've ever seen.

now put names next to those numbers. the difference between kobe and lebron is that kobe brings the best out of the talent around him while bron makes everyone around him into spot-up 3point shooters. before joining the heat, Chris Bosh and D-Wade were 6 time all-stars in their first 7 pro seasons. Bosh put up 24.0ppg and 10.8rpg while Wade put up 30.2ppg, 7.5apg, and 5.0rpg.

compare that to Gasol who was a 1 time all-star in his first 7 pro seasons before he joined Kobe and Odom who never made an all-star game in his career. Gasol's career high before joining LA was 20.8ppg and 9.8rppg while Odom's was 17.1ppg and 9.7rpg.

so please stop giving LeBron credit for not being able to adequately use his 2 future HOF teammates. Kobe on the other hand made Gasol into a HOFer when he brought the best out of him in LA.

so much for making your teammates better. :sadbron:

Names don't matter, only the production does.

Wade in his first season played like the same Wade as always (better than Kobe at that time I might add) but he knew it wasn't going to work unless he took a step down and let LeBron be the leader. Bosh took a reduced role by default playing with Wade and LeBron.

You're right the difference is LeBron makes everyone better while Kobe cast stays the same or worse, Gasol was already a 20/9 player before he got to LA, Odom's best season were before he joined the Lakers, I guess the same applies there since Odom's #'s went down playing with Kobe, we talking about the same Kobe that just turned an All-Time great PG Steve Nash into a spot up shooter because Kobe gotta take the ball past half court to dribble in the same spot for 15 seconds or quadruple jab step nd shyt :lolbron:

Stop giving Kobe credit for getting players who were already great before and them staying the same or getting worse. Bynum had his best season when Kobe had his worst in 2012, Dwight had his worst season as an All-Star the only season he played with Kobe. Kobe barely got the Lakers into the playoffs in 2013 with 3 other HOFs, ran out the best Center in the league twice :umad:

if kobe didnt play in tri hed avg 7+ assist breh. I say hes a better playmaker than bron who pounds the ball for 20 sec then passes of for 3. And lets not forget prime Kobe was the defensive stopper for Team USA a team that bron was on.

Edit- hes also a better ball handler
Not true

Bron was guarding pf centers in that 08 Olympics

Even 2012 he hit those clutch shots
