These are STRONG brand names to me that could use a shot in the arm, and redidcation much how the charger and challenger got from Dodge, and the Infiniti revival of the Q50

  • CHEVORLET CHEVELLE

    • just mean...and has a fanbase and is an entusist's car much like the challenger was. It looks sexier too and a 2017 update would be WELL recieved
  • Chrysler Imperial
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Imperial
    • I know for a FACT before the auto industry crash Chrysler was developing a 'bigger than the 300 but smaller than a maybach' car they actually SHOWED at NAIAS [maybe 2007?]. It looked amazing. Had the tall grill like the previous generations' IN FACT from the wiki page:

Chrysler Imperial concept car was presented at the 2006 North American International Auto Show. This concept uses the Chrysler LY platform, which is an extended LX. It features a 123-inch (3,124 mm) wheelbase. Riding on 22-inch (560 mm) wheels, the car presented "a six-figure image but at a much lower price" according to Tom Tremont, Vice President of advanced vehicle design for Chrysler. The design incorporated a long hood and front end dominated by an upright radiator and a horizontal themed grille. Brushed and polished aluminum pods evoke the free-standing headlamps of past models. Circular LED taillights with floating outer rings harken to the "gun sight" taillight look of early 1960s Imperials. The roof line was pulled rearward to enlarge the cabin and to create a longer profile.
  • Porche 944 / 968
    • One of the most love/hate porches ever...it just LOOKS FAST and man this car is fun. My pops had a 944.

it was a bit of a poor mans' porche but a new one doesn't have to be.

The Thunderbird re-do a couple of years ago was nice. It looked elegant and modern and most importantly, not a retarded re-do of the 80's thunderbird. It didn't sell well. It wasn't in a good price point, but at least Ford pushed out a concept car that was nice.

Chevy is in the middle of trying to meet consumer needs for fuel-efficienct cars, needs for full-size pickup trucks and meet CAFE standards. The thing that they don't want to do is compete with another model, then sales go down for both models. They have the Camaro and Corvette as two door coupes. The Chevelle is a two-door coupe also. I don't think they (big wigs of GM) want to cannibalize sales of Camaros and Corvettes for Chevelles. GM might do better if they redo the Buick Grand National, also a 2-door coupe.

Porsche 944/968 are cool. Same with the 928. They don't fit Porsche's current direction. They have the Cayman and Boxster as low-end sports cars. Mid-engine is more sexy than front engine. When they put the 968 on the chopping block, I felt like they threw out my dreams in a garbage can and then threw some chicken bones on top of my dreams.

It would be cool if Jeep put out the Commander again. It was a boxy SUV that kind of had an angular back end like the Mercedes-Benz G-wagon and Land Rover Defender 90.

I OWNED AN 88 BIRD AND A 92. I LIKED THEM.

I THINK THEY COULD MAKE A RUN WITH THE BIRD. 2 SEATER ROADSTER WITH THE 2.3L ECOBOOST. IT WOULD BE GREAT BECAUSE FORD DOESN'T HAVE A ROADSTER ON THE ROSTER.
