Who said blow it up?
Thanks for making this thread. Jazz are an interesting team. We had a moment to win it in the 90s. We were a strong team in the 90s. We have been a consistently "alright" (never a contender but we've had a good amount of playoff appearances after the 90s glory days) team since. The rebuilding stage based on Hayward has worked. It's just not enough. Can the Jazz ever be a Finals contender? I think most NBA fans do want small markets to have a chance to go all the way by building right, by good management, coaching, etc. I think the Jazz franchise is trying so hard to do this, but we're a Utah team. Just not the most appealing place to many people.
I feel the Utah Jazz have been a springboard for players to use to get to "better" (more appealing) teams for years. I feel like we develop talent, and the talent jumps ship. I don't blame them. I get it. But I'm gonna keep rooting on the Jazz. I'm grateful for the seasons players put in on this team. Even if they bounce. I'm grateful we have an interesting coach and a front office that is really trying.
The Jazz turned the "promotions on uniforms" frustration into a way to raise money for cancer research. That was so classy. Great move by the management
Salt Lake City's office of tourism (met some of these guys on an internship I did) responded quickly and cleverly to the Warriors' jabs at Utah's nightlife culture with a promotional campaign. It was clever. Use a slight to promote what we have.
There´s Nothing To Do In Salt Lake. (Actually, I did some reading. I guess this was a promotional campaign they did a few years ago but the Warriors' comments made them design a new website for this campaign)
I like seeing good management and clever ideas make up the difference for the underdogs. I'm proud of what the Jazz did this season. If Hayward bounces, I get it. You have to do you.
