I’m sure Jalen will transfer, especially with Tua’s lil bro coming in.
This situation is a bit different though, Tua is the clear starter and Jalen is the clear backup. KB came into the season as the #1 guy and by game 5, Dabo flipped and named Lawrence the starter.
Actually we had this same situation last year with proven starter Jalen and superstar freshman Tua, but Coach Saban went with Jalen (and rightfully so) until he had to make the switch.
Another thing is that Kelly Bryant is a senior, if he played Saturday, that was it, he would finish his career at Clemson as the backup QB unlike Jalen who could still play Saturday and then go somewhere next year for one final season.
There are a number of reasons why I think Jalen decided to stay but idk which is true

If Jalen doesn't play another game this season he can have two years of eligiblity instead of one.
I don't know if he will make or play in the NFL so this might be it and if this is it. Two years is better than one
Technically Jalen only plays now when there is a big lead

Like I said, I don’t know what’s going on in Jalen’s mind, maybe he wants to work with Dan Enos this season (who’s helped him become a much better passer) then play one more season next year to get to the NFL as soon as possible. Jalen’s goal is to become a NFL QB.
A slap in the face? Lawrence is a once in a decade talent it would be bad coaching if Dabo didn’t start Lawrence.
