Just decided to do some more research on my folks....Called my momz and my pops and told them I would search for stuff on both their sides.

My momz side is substatially harder because we have native on that side, and im sure most of those records are kaput.

But I got back to the 1820's on my fathers side...and man....

shyt like "the slave DAVID to be sold on the 14th of June. Also sold to the estate of a Mr. Cooley is Ox(1), buggy(2) and 200 pair of negro shoes."

The fukk man...i seen em before. But the shyt has more effect when DAVID is your kinfolk. Not even trying to be funny or silly here. This shyt is painful, but ima keep going as far as I can.

I want to read about my enslaved ancestors.They were relegated to worthless cattle.Their histories and identities weren't meant to be known.I want their stories to be told as much as possible.I will teach my children about them.
