Clinton holds narrow leads in five battleground states
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leads Republican rival Donald Trump by single digits in five critical battleground states, according to post-debate polls for each battleground.
Clinton tops Trump in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia in Public Policy Polling (PPP) surveys out Thursday.
She owns a 7-point edge in Colorado, grabbing 51 percent to Trump’s 44 percent.
Clinton, meantime, boasts a 3-point advantage in Florida, squeaking past the billionaire, 48 to 45 percent.
The secretary of State tops Trump by 4 points in North Carolina, netting 49 percent of likely voters there to Trump's 45 percent.
Clinton is also ahead in Pennsylvania, 49 to 44 percent, and grabs 49 percent to Trump’s 43 percent in Virginia.
Pollsters also found that Trump trails the former first lady when third-party candidates enter the fray.
Clinton hold single-digit leads over challengers including Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson and Green nominee Jill Stein in all five states.
She has 6-point leads in Colorado, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and a 2-point leads in Florida and North Carolina.
PPP conducted its latest polls from Sept. 27-28, after the first presidential debate. The margin of error is 3.7 percent in Colorado, 3.4 percent in Florida and Virginia, and 3.3 percent in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Clinton leads Trump by 3 points nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of samplings.
