It's a weak atmosphere. The other arenas I've been to have a better view, better food and drink options, better access getting in and out, etc. Staples is probably better for concerts because it kills noise. The development of LA live has saved it a little, it was complete trash when it was by itself and had nothing around it.

And its not a size thing because United Center is a lot bigger and doesn't have any of those problems.[/Q*UOTE]

*Looks at your reppin* yep ....:umad:

Staples looks like a space ship breh

Seattle fans desperately want a team. If he moved the Clippers there, sellouts would follow them and they could probably get a hockey team in the arena as well. Seattle is quickly getting as expensive as any area on the west coast besides the Bay.
Key Arena was empty for years before they left.. They didn't give a sh*t about the Sonics. Shultz of Starbucks owned the team and he didn't give a sh*t about them either. Starbucks money, Microsoft money, Boeing money, now Amazon money.. where's the new arena in Seattle at? There was no need for Shultz to sell the team to a guy from OKC in the first place.

Staples better for sports but bad for concerts cause the way its built the acoustics are sh*t.. and it was a pretty good place even before LA Live was built. But other than Wrigley Field in Chicago the concept of surrounding arenas and stadiums with restaurants, bars, clubs, condos, etc. wasn't a everyday thing- kinda of a new concept. Alot of stadiums and arenas don't have sh*t surrounding them to this very day. Have you been to Oracle in Oakland? They're moving to SF to start up a LA Live type experience

I get the move but you can't beat DTLA. An arena on the Westside would suck and the experience probably would be expensive as f*ck. Build it on the other side of downtown.. by city hall, Little Tokyo, Arts District, or maybe Hollywood:ehh:

@The Taxman

We should just play homegames on the playground im watts where White Men Can't Jump was filmed :ehh:

The only way they're approving an arena in Seattle is if they're paying for it out of their own pocket. It doesn't matter how much the fans want a team.

It became a sex issue when the latest proposal got shot down because it was shot down 5-4 by five women with all four men approving. I think 80% of it was being paid by the Hansen group and the last 20% was a hotel tax, so it wouldn't even affect locals, only tourists. They cited some bullshyt about traffic too as part of the reason they voted against it. :camby:

Key was also undersized and dated. '06-07 was a little over 1,000 under capacity on average for sold tickets and that was with the OKC group owning the team. They will support a new team. People said the same shyt about Charlotte. The new arena would be in the same area as Safeco and CenturyLink.

not to mention the sonics SUCKED, look at the blue jays in baseball were drawing 10-20k a game for YEARS now there leading the al in attendance because they won.

That Anaheim move would be cool but I think Honda center only seats 12,000 unlike Staples that seats 18,000. I think it would be a mistake for them to leave where they are at. But I get the fact when nikkas hear Staples they think Lakers

nah honda center seats like 18,000.
if im not mistaken the clippers actually used to play some games there back in the day

EDIT

lakers played a preseason game there last year
