As part of an interview CM Punk did with Ron Kruck for Inside MMA this week, a YouTube only one-liner has got some attention as relates to Punk's current relationship with WWE head Vince McMahon.

In the three-minute clip below, Kruck asked Punk about whether he's heard from his old boss, being a 3-to-1 underdog in Vegas, and whether anything he learned in pro wrestling can be carried over to MMA:

The assumption is the comment is about the lawsuit that WWE doctor Chris Amann has against Punk and Colt Cabana stemming from Punk's much-discussed appearance on Cabana's podcast. When asked on Twitter about the comment, our Dave Meltzer said, "I'm surprised he said that publicly."

Ruthless cokeboy :damn:

As he should. Vince is protecting his employee and his company by doing so.

Punk either flat out lied or heavily exaggerated his stories about Amann. Funny how Amann is well liked and no other wrestlers have had a bad thing to say about him except for Punk (aka the guy who has a problem with everyone).

That's not true, others have questioned wwe medical before to. Recently hardcore holly a super loyal wwe dude spoke out about when he got a staff injection and was super sick but yet they still sent him over seas to do the euro tour. However, once he got there he was too sick to do anything so they had to send him home. They made him do media stuff when he got to the states before eve getting treatment though

Former WWE Superstar Rene Dupree talked to Slam Sports recently, following last week’s controversial CM Punk interview on “The Art of Wrestling” podcast with Colt Cabana.

Part of Punk’s tell-all discussion revealed that WWE doctors continually forced him into action and refused medical treatment on a lump that was eventually revealed as a life-threatening staph infection. Renee Dupree, a two-time WWE tag champion, revealed a similar situation that happened to him during his run with the company.

According to the interview with Slam, Dupree had a hematoma in his temple and was given the night off from Smackdown by Stephanie McMahon. When the cabin pressure normalized on a flight to Cincinnati, the hematoma burst. “I was wearing a white Gold’s Gym t-shirt and it was covered in blood.” Paramedics on scene told the crew that he needed to be rushed to the hospital, but a WWE doctor made the call to keep him on the roster’s connecting flight to Louisville.

According to Rene, he did receive treatment in Louisville, but “I risked my life to save the company a few extra bucks.” The company would have had to pay for a separate flight for him after surgery, but that’s essentially the only real expense.

This is not the first affirmation of CM Punk‘s claim that WWE officials are there to support the company, and not necessarily the talent. In Hardcore Holly’s 2013 autobiography, “The Hardcore Truth”, he revealed his own staph infection that almost cost him his arm. It was diagnosed in the U.S., but backstage staff – including John Laurinaitis – insisted that he attend the European tour, where the infection worsened and Holly almost required an amputation.

Vince doesn't give two fukks about his employees. That's why they're "independent contractors." He can fukk them over and they can't fight back. They don't have a union.

Amann is an employee is he not?

Wrestlers are independent contractors. Agree 100% with the statement that he doesn't gives shyt about them :skip: but he does care about someone like their doctors because it can look badly for the company if they fukk up.

If there is one thing Punk learned, is that Vince follows his own OMERTA. Vince has not spoken once about Punk's bad behavior, or really anything at all about Punk. So basically this is Punk's word against what Vince/Dr. Amann spoke about behind the scenes, which neither spoke out about in the open, they kept shyt silent.

Punk's case already had an uphill battle, with Colt's podcast being his media, but with Colt being backstage it makes sense why Punk would be pissed.

Your acting like Vince always doing interviews. Punk Is the one promoting a fight or doing media , that's why he probably don't lok the wrestling questions
