It's interesting seeing this article being posted on the coli at the same time, and the different angle each poster chose to take when creating the thread.

I thought it was pretending to be black online and social media. If the black meme or gif matches the reaction, then it matches the reaction. Someone on here said we shouldn’t use white smilies. The facial expression is all I care about.
Changing my avi to a back to a nikkA as we speak.... :troll:

If you’re gonna talk about whiteboys saying nikka in videogame chats you’ve gotta be able to define the issue. These write-ups enter the public consciousness and awareness spreads = bad behavior changes.

I guess what they're trying to say is that by using a GIF/Meme of a Black person it might give actual Black online users the impression that the person they're conversing and using the gif/meme in response is Black themselves when they may not be at all 🤷🏾‍♂️.

It's not silly to come to this conclusion...

How many times have CACs gotten exposed on the Coli after convincing posters they were Black based on their usage of certain phrases (talking Black basically) and such that a lot of Black people do actually use IRL?

Or how CACs using avatars of Black leaders, etc have gotten banned after being exposed for saying racist and/or suspect “head scratcher” shyt? I'm pretty sure there's been many cases, some solved and others still “to be determined”.

it's iffy, it does feel odd when non-black users have a majority of their reaction gifs be of black people and the content isn't even of actors/actresses from tv, movies or music videos.

I think reactions gifs used by black users featuring black people are typically a lot more flattering.
