How deep does this thing go? :jbhmm:

It could be an infinite regress all the way down with simulations.

My theory is that the original humans long ago made simulations as way to make sure conscious life continues even after the end of the universe. Because the universe has a finite time limit, we will always be limited by time based on how many conscious experiences and conscious beings can exist. However, with simulations you could live out millions of lifetimes in a few seconds. Thus, if we want the maximum number of conscious experiences in the universe then we must build simulations which have conscious beings in them. And program those simulations to be able to make simulations within the simulation so that you can have an infinite regress all the way with simulations maximizing the number of conscious experiences possible in the universe.

That is why I think our goal in this simulation is to create a simulation ourselves. And then the cycle starts up once again.

This is ridiculous.

For every "coincidence" that occurs, there are an infinite number of things that also happened that you didn't notice and had no impact on the universe.

There would be more argument that we are in a computer simulation if there was no such thing as coincidence.

If there was never those "how could that happen!" moments, there would be an argument that the perfect and smooth workings of that particular type of universe
