The idea started out when Ellsworth pulled down the Womens Money in the Bank briefcase. He was going to slowly transition into a woman then challenge Charlotte for the SmackDown women's championship at WrestleMania.

It was supposed to be the one time he actually got physical with the other women on the roster. But when the WWE decided to release him, they decided to pull the trigger on his short storyline with Becky and the other women on the roster hence him getting his ass kicked on every house show during the European tour.

This was purely Vince's idea.
